Exploration Rationale

Coventry Resources Limited deliberately decided to operate within the Superior Province in Canada from the outset of its existence.

The Superior Province is one of the world's most endowed mineral regions with numerous world-class gold and base metal deposits and a history of mining that spans over more than a century. The gold endowment of the Superior Province totals more than 273 Million Ounces with deposits in the terrane being characterised by high-grades (commonly >5 g/t Au) and extensive vertical depth extents (commonly greater than 1 kilometre).

Despite the long history of mining and exploration within the Superior Province, significant discovery potential remains due to extensive glacial till obscuring bedrock. Coventry Resources strongly believes that the application of good geology and the use of modern geophysical and geochemical technology and a multi-disciplinary exploration methodology utilising a mineral systems approach will result in the discovery of mineral resources within one of the world’s premier exploration and mining locations.

The Company extensively utilises regional and local geophysical, geochemical and occurrence datasets and previous exploration information in order to target areas with significant discovery potential or under-explored regions previously dismissed as unprospective.
